As Autumn approaches and thoughts naturally turn to cosying up interior spaces, one trend looks set to dominate according to new research for independent tile specialists Porcelain Superstore: terracotta.

While terracotta tiles look amazing, they are porous by nature which means they absorb liquids and are prone to staining. However, today’s terracotta-effect tiles have the same great looks as the real deal, but none of the disadvantages. Abbas says: “They’re versatile enough to work in all manner of house styles and every bit as beautiful as natural fired earth. And despite the artisanal styling, these tiles are made from premium Spanish porcelain so they’re suitable for any wall or floor at home. Unlike natural terracotta, Croft doesn’t require any sealing or special care and has an R10 slip rating, for added peace of mind underfoot.
