More than 30 suppliers from the housewares, small domestic electricals and gift sectors who were exhibiting at the Exclusively Show have collectively raised £20K for the industry charity, The Rainy Day Trust (RDT), by donating product from their exhibition stands.
Exhibitors at the show were asked to donate products from their stands at the end of the two- day event for the charity to pass on to families in need or to sell and raise money.
Housewares,
gift, and small domestic electricals suppliers responded in style and pallet loads of stock were promised to RDT.
Unwins and British Garden Centres collaborate to raise funds for Greenfingers charity
Unwins seeds, part of Westland Horticulture, and British Garden Centres, is delighted to announce the successful fundraising of £1,800 for the Greenfingers Charity.
The contribution was made possible through the dedicated efforts and collaboration between Unwins seeds and British Garden
Centres group, where proceeds from the sale of Unwins’ Butterfly Blue sweet pea seeds were donated to support Greenfingers. The exclusive variety of sweet pea was available to consumers solely at British Garden Centres’ 62 retail stores. The Greenfingers Charity is
renowned for creating magical and inspiring gardens for children in
hospices across the UK, providing a much-needed sanctuary for young patients and their families. The funds raised will aid in the development and maintenance of these vital green spaces, offering comfort, solace, and joy to those who need it most.

Independent Builders Merchant Group (IBMG) has appointed Adrian Tansley as divisional managing director for roofing. For the past three years, as the operations director for IBMG’s
roofing division in the South, Tansley has overseen the smooth integration of Roofing Gear’s three branches; Independent Roofing Supplies’ three branches and MS Roofing’s five branches into the IBMG portfolio. A roofing veteran of 40 years, he is
credited with being instrumental in the roofing division’s growth in recent years. Adrian Tansley is preceded in the post by Danny Spokes, who is now divisional managing director for IBMG’s South West build division. Andrian Tansley, from Wokingham, Berkshire, said: “With four decades in

Leading tile specialist, Ceramique Internationale, has announced two key appointments to its experienced senior sales team. Francesca Cornforth, who joined the business three years ago, has taken on a new and expanded role as Specification Sales Manager – House Builder Division. Francesca has a wealth of experience in the tiling sector, having previously worked as a design and sales consultant for a number of prominent ceramic tile brands and, most recently, managing Ceramique’s Leeds-based Tiles and Mosaics showroom.
Joe Haywood joins the business as the new Showroom Manager in Leeds. With more than ten years’ experience in the industry working as a manager for a number of high profile KBB retailers, Joe was keen to take the opportunity to specialise in the tiles sector. He will be responsible for the day to day running of the 4,500 sq ft showroom, providing advice and support to customers in person, on-line and over the phone, as well as supporting the Ceramique sales team and working with customers on projects across the North of England.
