Air ambulance lifts off with help from ERA Saddle up for Garden Re-Leaf
Wolverhampton-based ERA, the home security expert, is supporting the local Midlands Air Ambulance Charity throughout 2018, as its chosen charity.
Money will be raised throughout the year via a programme of activities, run by ERA’s workforce, kicking off with a Valentine’s raffle, with many more exciting events, during the year to follow. Corporate partnerships

said: “We are responsible for funding and operating three air ambulances across six Midlands counties, and with over 2,000 missions per year, we are one of the busiest air ambulances in the UK.
“With each air
ambulance mission costing £2,500 on average, and requiring a pilot, two paramedics or flight doctors as well as full life support medical equipment, we
are extremely grateful for the generous support that we receive from organisations such as ERA, which is essential to our lifesaving operation.”
Wilko gives £500 product donation to local memory café Stockport Dementia Café

Cycle Challenge
Greenfingers Charity is inviting its supporters to put their pedal power to the test this spring by taking on an inspiring new Cycle Challenge for Garden Re-Leaf Day. The event, which takes place on Friday, March 16, will now feature a new Cycle Ride Challenge for bike enthusiasts. The route will start in World’s End Garden Centre, Wendover and take in the scenic Chiltern hills
Mike Lind named GCA chairman for 2018/19
The Garden Centre Association (GCA) has welcomed its new Chairman for 2018/19. Mike Lind, who is the managing director of Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre in Somerset, took on the role as the GCA’s Chairman elect for 2018/19 during its annual
conference, which took place in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Mr Lind said: “During my time as Chairman of the GCA, I will continue to focus on the core benefits of membership and our strategy.”
