SPRING FAIR

around Brexit, many homeowners and renters are looking to spruce up their current properties.

“This sector of Spring Fair will

present an excellent opportunity for retailers to identify novel products to stock. Coatings and adhesives, fasteners and fixings, hand and power

tools,

hardware and ironmongery, locks and security, trade displays and shopfittings, abrasives and lubricants, clothing and safety are just a selection of the categories that will be put in the spotlight.”

Opportunities for housewares retailers

Meanwhile, next door in hall nine, the kitchen, dining and housewares section of the show promises to bring together a diverse mix of

suppliers that manufacture

cookware, bakeware, kitchen gifts, tableware, small domestic appliances, storage solutions and even wine accessories. Visitors looking for those very special items will be able to browse exhibitor’s stands to discover the latest creative designs and get a taste

of the trends impacting this category. There will also be demonstrations from some of the biggest brands in the UK, as well as the Hairy Bikers showcasing Magimix’s range of kitchen equipment.

The section has one of the

strongest line-ups of recent years, with companies such as Le Creuset showing at Spring Fair for the first time in a decade, where they will launch their exciting new campaign for 2017. Another key name exhibiting for the first time in a number of years is HAUS, who will be showcasing key brands such as GEFU, Leopold Vienna, Nuance and Scanpan.

They join an impressive line- up of exhibitors, including the likes of George East Housewares, Denby Brands, Dexam, Churchill China, Meyer Group, Kitchen Craft, Portmerion, bobble, Jersey Pottery, Navigate, Horwood Homewares, Sabichi, T&G Woodware, Creative Tops, Apollo Housewares, Ulster Weavers, The Rayware Group, BOSKA Holland and many others, who will all be showcasing their latest lines.

Gifts galore

As gifting becomes an important concept all year-round, retailers beginning to explore opportunities outside of the big four – Christmas, Valentine’s, Mother’s and Father’s Day – will find the Gift section in halls four and five a one-stop-shop for everything from birthdays to housewarmings. As the largest single segment in the gifting market, home fragrance will be a major focus.

Independent retailers and buyers will also find a diverse range of products in the Gift sector, including food and confectionery, heritage and souvenirs, licensed and personalised gifts. Opportunities within garden gifting will also be under the spotlight. The sub sector has come to the fore as garden centres expand their remit into non-traditional sectors. Popular items including garden kneelers, personalised

There will be a total of 14 sectors represented across 15 halls of the NEC
