Bromborough trades from 17 branches: one in north Wales, and nearly all the rest in north-west England. September 2017 saw a move further south with the opening of a branch in Stoke-on-Trent. The branches stock paint and wallpaper, and the company also sells decorating tools and equipment through trade1st.co.uk, the online business it acquired   not clear how much of this is due to new branches and how much is organic growth. Bromborough consistently records by far the highest gross margin of any company covered in this survey, but also one of  £976,000 of a former trading branch at Eastham.
