Richmonds opens new Edinburgh branch


Richmonds have announced the opening of the second Edinburgh Branch of Richmonds Plumbing & Heating Merchants Ltd.


Established in 1886, Richmonds began supplying the plumbing and heating trade in Glasgow and, in the last 30 years, has expanded across the West of Scotland.


In 2015, Richmonds opened its first Edinburgh showroom and trade centre in Stenhouse.

The BMJ Industry Awards is re - turning for 2019 to celebrate the very best brands, merchants and people at the heart of the build- ers’ mer chants sector.


This year the Showrom category has been split into two: Merchant Kitchen and Bathroom Showroom of the Year and Merchant Show- Ye , while T imber Ye


Ye room of the Year Merchant of the Year ear is a new


category alongside the new ‘Di- versity Award’. This will recognise

the conscious removal of bias and barriers and intr oduction of initiatives designed to encourage positive change and development thr oughout the business.


These new additions will join the existing merchant categories Brand accolades and the indi- vidual awards.

Norwich move for Kent Blaxill Kent Blaxill has moved to new,


larger premises in Barker Street, Norwich as they celebrate 180 years as a decorative and building supplies merchant in the East of England.

director, said “We are thrilled with the new site – it’s bigger than our previous site, with a great deal more parking for customers and the additional space means we can offer an even wider range to both the trade and retail market.” New to the Barker Street store will be a specialist coatings area with a wide range of treatments such as cladding, floor paints for hygiene areas, roofs and steel. Managing director Simon Blaxill said, “The new location in the city of Norwich is very important for Kent Blaxill. The Board decided in 2017 to invest heavily in staff development and in creating store interiors that match the requirements of our customers – the bigger store in Norwich with better parking and a wider range of products does exactly that.”
