UK CONSTRUCTION WEEK

windows and doors market. Solutions such as Jigtech’s innovative door handle fitting system that reduces fitting time to under three minutes and Velux’s new smart window system. The latest in offsite design, research and development will be discussed in the dedicated Offsite Theatre supported by MPBA. Exhibitors will be available to discuss offsite construction products including: Containex’s temporary and permanent modular buildings, Fermacell’s energy efficient and eco-friendly building board; and Morland’s award-winning offsite fire doors. Other Build Show exhibitors include building suppliers Trade Point (B&Q); insulation expert Rockwool; high-performance power tool supplier Hikoki; and Soudal, who will be conducting a live demonstration of their new 600ml Genius Gun Expanding Foams, reusable for up to six weeks after application.

Nathan Garnett, UKCW event director, said: “For most people working in the trades, finding the time to keep up-to-date with the latest products, sourcing the best deals and establishing networks while juggling work commitments feels impossible. “That’s why the Build Show is always an unmissable event for builders’ merchants. It brings the latest products, ideas and manufacturers to one place and is broken down into specific sections to make the search easier. It’s a much-needed opportunity to be inspired and encouraged, to make deals, and to take away lots of new ideas and products.”

The future of construction This year’s theme, the ‘Future of Construction’, explores the innovative ideas, products and solutions keeping builders’ merchants ahead of the game. An Innovation Trail will showcase companies including: Addex Group, Fischer Fixings, Quinn Building Products, Rawlplug, Rockwool, Soudal, Styrene Packaging & Insulation and Velux.

The Future of Construction Hub also provides an immersive opportunity to discover how digital construction, 3D printing, robotics, AI and AR and modern methods of construction can deliver the new Construction Sector deal.

Unmissable speakers

Valuable information that will help businesses grow, save time and reduce costs will be shared at the Regeneration Hub, sponsored by Easy- Trim. Speakers include Barbara Res, the project manager behind Trump Tower, discussing her experiences as a female in construction; and former British politician, Lord David Blunkett, discussing how technology and diversity will turn the skills gap around.
