BMBI releases Q2 report 2025


The latest Builders Merchant Building Index (BMBI) report, produced by MRA Research , reveals builders’ merchants’ value sales for Q2 2025 were up 2.8% compared to Q2 2024, and volume sales were up 4.0% year-on-year, while prices came down 1.1%. With one less trading day this


year, like-for-like value sales were +4.5% higher. Nine of the report’s twelve categories sold more by value in Q2 2025 compared to the same quarter a year before, with value sales for Renewables & Water

Manufacturers stock up amid shipping delays Figures in the latest manufacturing report from inventory management specialist Unleashed, show that building and construction manufacturers are now building stock levels in a bid to maintain product availability and service levels in the face of longer lead times – which increased by nine days from Q1 to Q2.
