Neoperl hold its “Neolympic” event
Neoperl has announced its staff have been taking part in a Neolympic event for the past five weeks, playing a game a week with teammates from all departments across the company.
A study of tradespeople has revealed that two thirds, 66%, love bacon and that baked beans are their least favourite item - and most surprising of all, 20% said they prefer a glass of water over a brew.
The study, conducted by metals4U, asked tradespeople their favourite breakfast items. It revealed that 30% chose coffee as their drink of choice, 21% said they’d have juice or water and only 16% would choose a cup of tea. Bacon and sausage were neck and neck for the title of a builder’s favourite breakfast item, with 43% of builders choosing them. It was a tight run contest between the two for the favourite breakfast sarnie, but bacon, 36%, just edged out sausage, 34%. Builder’s top five items are included; bacon (43%), sausage (43%), fried egg (37%) and scrambled egg (34%).
Builder’s least favourite items included; black pudding (8%), hashbrowns (12%), beans (16%), toast (19%) and fried bread (24%).

Civils Store raises over £26,000 for Air Ambulance UK
Civils Store has raised £26,412.80 for Air Ambulance UK at its black- tie charity dinner, as it celebrated its 10 year anniversary. The event was held at the de Vere Tortworth Court Hotel, Wotton -under-Edge, Gloucestershire on July 2; the event featured a Gala Dinner, Charity Auction, Raffle, Casino and Live Music.
A spokesperson for Civils said: “The amount or money raised has exceeded all our expectations and is testament to the generosity of the amazing industry that we are all proud to be part of.” Over forty suppliers and customers supported the event

Stelrad provides radiators for cricket club

Stelrad has announced it has provided support to Ashington Cricket Club, it provided them with replacement radiators. The town of Ashington, in Northumberland, has recently come into the news because it is the birthplace of 1966 World Cup Winners Bobby and Jackie Charlton, the former passing away recently.
“It is a tough job in this current economic climate to keep the club financially afloat. If it was not for sponsors and businesses like Stelrad who support us, we would definetly struggle,” said Steve Storey, club chairperson.
