Jewson rebrands estimating service to Project Estimator
Jewson has rebranded its Build Aviator service, relaunching it as Project Estimator. The revised service enables customers to share the floor plans, section drawings, elevations and specification for their project and receive a comprehensive set of reports. Andrew Ellis, managing
director of Project Estimator, said: “Project Estimator is designed to support those who might usually spend hours
producing quotes for potential customers, which inevitably takes up valuable time and money that could instead be spent doing the building work itself. Put simply, it’s a more effective way to plan and quote for new business. Users of the service can interact directly with our estimating experts, who truly understand the needs of modern builders and tradespeople, and access all the insight and information required to secure their next project.
“Our customers who are familiar with Build Aviator will experience the same great levels of service, but with a clearer offering to ensure they can save money and time when bidding for work and ultimately win more business.”
Harlow Timber to gain a broader understanding of their work in the building supply chain. I would like to thank Neil, Scott, Maria and the team for giving me the opportun- ity to see their contribution not only to North West Leicestershire’s economy, but also more widely around the East Midlands. “As part of the APPG for Healthy Homes and Buildings, it was encouraging to see an independ- ent, employee-owned business keep up to date with the needs of its traditional customers as well as new, emerging markets”.

BMF keynote speaker swims up to Conference
Rebecca Adlington OBE, Team GB’s most successful female swimmer,
will be the keynote speaker at the 2025 BMF All Industry Conference in June. Winning two gold medals on her Olympic debut in Beijing in 2008 at just 19 years old, Adlington also broke the world record for 800m.
She became the first woman to take Olympic swimming gold for Great Britain in over 40 years and the first in a century to secure two wins at the same Games. She then won Commonwealth, European and World Championship titles before winning bronze medals at the London 2012 Olympics. Since retiring from competition, Adlington has combined a career as a BBC sports commentator and pundit with work for charities and schemes to promote swimming and sport in general. Having faced her fair share of sudden and unexpected setbacks, Adlington has dealt with change and the stress that comes with this throughout her journey from sporting success to business owner. She will reflect on her experiences and the importance of finding focus and mental resilience when there are so many uncontrollable factors.
John Newcomb, BMF CEO, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Rebecca as our keynote speaker in Barcelona. Her experience in learning to recognise and focus on what is truly important to overcome unforeseen challenges resonates with both sporting and business success.”
The sold-out BMF Conference takes place in Barcelona from Thursday 12 June to Sunday 15 June.
