Protecting a new way of life in Kent


Visqueen were approached to supply certified Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing (CSSW) for Britain’s first and only strategically planned island community located in Kent.

The major requirement for any development based on an island is to eliminate the risk of water ingress. In addition, initial site investigations showed CS2 with methane and CO2 gases were present.


Visqueen Special Projects was task ed with designing and delivering a system to achieve both a waterproof and gas tight solution for a variety of different buildings.


Our Special Projects team utilised a range of innovative products including Visqueen Torchon and Visqueen Gas Barrier to deliver a two layer protection system of waterproofing for the below ground structures.
