7. Henderson in the Elephant House
P C Henderson’s Straight Sliding 307 door hardware has been specified for the main access door to an elephant house at an animal sanctuary in Wales. PC Henderson’s sliding door gear was used as it would be tough enough to cope with the force with which Valli, a three tonne Sri Lankan elephant, uses her trunk and head to open the door. The Straight Sliding 307 system can cater for doors weighing up to 2000kg and comes in five different ranges to cater for maximum door weights of between 150kg and 2000kg.
