SUMMERTIME SEALS THE NEED FOR OUTDOOR PRODUCTS

s a nation, we are using our gardens more. Commercial properties are looking to create outdoor seating wherever possible and residential spaces are increasingly looking for extra room and using their gardens in creative ways. This includes several trends: the UK outdoor structures market, for example, which is forecast to reach £742.2 million by 2027. The growing use of garden rooms, outdoor kitchens, home gyms, offices, and multifunctional outdoor buildings has seen this area boom. Alongside it is decking: the UK decking market is expected to reach over £475m by 2028 as more homeowners move into outdoor living and embrace hardscaping, maximising their spaces and following global exterior decorating trends.
Stage set
Decking will be taking centre stage over the coming months – literally - in both commercial and residential properties: and it needs the right tools. Merchants and suppliers can ensure they are offering support with the right adhesives and sealants as footfall will rise.
