Crown Paints donates 15,000 litres of paint in Wickes partnership


Crown Paints has delivered more than 15,000 litres of paint to community projects across the UK – 50% above its original goal.


As the official Paint Partner for the Wickes Community Programme, Crown supplies charities and community groups with quality paint to refresh vital spaces.


The milestone marks significant growth since the partnership with Wickes began in 2024, when 8,000 litres were donated.


Tracey McIlvenny, head of retail marketing at Crown Paints, said: “This initiative allows us to support community projects across the country while giving surplus paint a meaningful purpose instead of going to waste. It’s a straightforward way to make a real difference – helping groups refresh vital spaces while supporting our wider sustainability commitments through Project Possible. We’re looking forward to reaching even more communities in the year ahead.”


Travis Perkins volunteers rescue damaged community hub


Builders’ merchant Travis Perkins has contributed to the reconstruction of Coffee Mate, a community hub in Southampton damaged by bad weather. The hub, created by Danny Carter, a popular hairstylist and content creator, offers support to those suffering with their mental health in the local area. Staff at the Travis Perkins Albert Road North branch donated materials to fix the hub, as well as volunteering to carry out the repairs.


Branch manager Paul Carpenter, said: “Danny has his unit right by our branch, and we reached out to him once we became aware that he needed help.
