PARTNERS’ SURVEY


This year has provided plenty of challenges for NBG Partners and Suppliers, requiring quick thinking and rapid adaptation.


ack in May, NBG asked its Partners a few questions on how they were responding to Covid-19 and what measures they intended to adopt to manage their businesses through the pandemic.


This was followed up in August and then again in November, to see whether their approach had changed. The outcomes are outlined below, providing an insight into how our sector is adapting to these new demands. Throughout the year Partner confidence has grown. By utilising the experience gained in the first lockdown, Partners were better placed to react quickly to local restrictions and a second national lockdown, resulting in more confident and decisive decision making. With contact time limited, maintaining efficient communication was a significant challenge facing businesses this year, but it did not stop NBG Partners prospering. Our survey found that 88% of respondents were able to provide site visits by video now or were planning to do so in the future. Zoom proved to be the most popular platform, seeing a 7% increase to 76% in usage from May to November. This suggests that while Partners are adapting well to using the technology, they also want to maintain the face-to- face element of trading.
