NEWS EXTRA BMA Pitchfest 2025

The BMA Pitchfest 2025, a live competition, was held during this year’s InstallerSHOW to spotlight innovation in the bathroom sector. The show was hosted by the Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA), newly renamed the Bathroom Association following its relaunch announcement at the show.

Styled in the format of Dragons’ Den or Shark Tank, the competition featured rapid-fire pitches from 12 leading industry brands, with winners chosen by a live audience of trade professionals.

Bathroom, Appliance, Sink & Tap distributor, PJH made its debut at the InstallerSHOW, exhibiting for the first time at the Installer Kitchens & Bathrooms zone in the BiKBBI Village in Hall 4 (Stand 4B13b).

Tileasy set up to demonstrate its range of tile grip vacuum suction cups, designed to help installers grip, move and place tiles with a firmer grip, assuring load weight is handed in a safer way.

Solar option

Catnic featured its Integrated solar solution, SolarSeam, which works by integrating solar panels into the building fabric without impacting the overall design. The panel is also modulated so if any part of the panel is damaged, the rest of the panel will still operate. Thomas Dudley majored on the use of their new Valve system, for more efficient water usage than most current toilet systems. Victoria valves now include the new Valve Mate adaptor, with cable, mechanical and lever options.

Egger, the international supplier of wood-based construction materials, such as structural flooring and wall cladding, included its DHF, resin bonded medium density fibreboard as part of the offer. Their products were also used within the Haus. As one of this years’ sponsors of the BiKBBI Village, PJH showcased some of its latest own-brand products from its Bathrooms2GO and Bathrooms to Love

Collections, which feature many installer-friendly ranges across a variety of price points. Stand 4F22 showcased SFA Saniflo’s range of pumps and macerators on one side, with the Kinedo range of shower products on the other, as well as the new clearwater range.

On the Kinedo stand, the new range of Solo Design and walk- ins featured strongly. As well as black, brushed stainless steel and gold frame options, the range also includes new glass options including fluted glass, Mondrian and Art Deco patterns and privacy screens.

Baxi exhibited on stand 5F42, showcasing its complete residential and commercial heating and hot water solutions, including the company’s newly launched, easy-to-install pre-wired and pre- plumbed Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) cylinder.

Baxi’s renewable experts were also on the stand to discuss how the company can help installers considering branching out into heat pump installation.

Instantor made its second appearance at InstallerSHOW this year, having attended last year as part of its debut into the UK market.

“I think events like this allow installers to keep up-to-date with all the changes and the new products coming out.” said Dan Wild, UK Sales Director. “As a brand we design products with the installer in mind, our vision is to make the installers life easier, but getting

round to them and where they’re going to be is difficult so events like this allow us to see hundreds of people over three days.” Grant UKs introduced the “Together We Heat Better” campaign and showcased the company’s range of sustainable heating products including air source heat pumps, smart controls, their latest smart hybrid technologies, and HVO compatible boilers.

Grant Westfield hosted live demonstrations of the brand’s Hydrolock joint system, offering installer training, new products, and giveaways throughout the three-day event at Stand 5C40. Installers could also learn more about MultipanelU, a free, easy-to- access training programme created to walk professionals through the entire installation journey, from preparation to aftercare. Renewables Centre appeared alongside its sister Wolseley UK company Plumb Centre, raising awareness of it training courses to support installers working towards more sustainable practices, with the opportunity to become MCS partners.

Conex Bänninger celebrated 115 years by challenging installers to the 115 Darts challenge, at their central aisle stand. (5C30) With daily prizes up for grabs and exclusive branded merchandise on offer. The anniversary event also saw the UK debut of Conex Bänninger’s new corporate branding.

Intatec showcased its K type ball valve, designed with a key

Mark Vitow’s FlowPro range competed in the final alongside Bristan, Saniflo, Thomas Dudley, Fluidmaster, Kinedo, and Grohe, with FlowPro coming out on top in both the qualifying round and the Grand Final.

This marks the second

consecutive year that FlowPro has taken home the Pitchfest title, reinforcing Mark Vitow’s growing reputation for delivering practical innovation tailored to the needs of the trade.

Tom Reynolds, Chief Executive of the Bathroom Association, said: “Pitchfest is a fast and furious highlight of InstallerSHOW. The audience love it because they get to hear information on a large range of products in a short space of time, and then cast judgment. All of the brands competing in this year’s competition had finely honed pitches and great products. Mark Vitow clearly have the knack, winning the closely fought challenge for a second year.”

which prevents installers having to break the insulation seal when installing the valve, as well as the soon to release IntaKlean HP XL. Sales director Rob Jones, said: “It’s usually difficult to judge the investment that all the business is put into attending shows. This year the positivity and the feedback we’ve had from installers who are now fitting our products is brilliant. It really is giving us good feedback on the vast majority of products from previous years, and we see that reflected in the sales figures.” BMJ
