AWARDS 2023 The BMJ Industry Awards 2023 voting is now closed, and the votes have been counted. Here’s what you need to know in the run-up to the event of the Autumn.

Who is hosting the event?
We are delighted to announce that our host for this year is Stephen Mangan, an actor familiar as Guy Secretan in ‘Green Wing’, Nathan Stern in The Split, Sean Lincoln in Episodes, where he starred
alongside Matt Le Blanc, and Green Wing co-star Tamsin Greig, Dan Moody in ‘I’m Alan Partridge’, and detective Dirk Gently in the BBC adaptation of Douglas Adams’ book ‘Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency’. He has also hosted Have I Got News For You, the BAFTA Craft Awards and co-presented Pointless.
When and where is the presentation? The gala lunch presentation takes place on THURSDAY September 28th, starting at 12pm for drinks. The venue is the Art-Deco splendour of the DeVere Grand Connaught Rooms, just off London’s Covent Garden.

Mangan graduated from RADA and his breakthrough television performance was as Adrian Mole in the ‘Adrian Mole: The Cappuccino Years’ in 2001. He has appeared regularly on stage in the West End, including as Bertie Wooster in Perfect Nonsense at the Duke of York’s Theatre alongside Matthew Macfadyen as Jeeves.
Mangan was a Celebrity Mastermind champion, scoring 29 points, 15 of which were on his specialist subject, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. BMJ
