The future of R32 VRF air conditioning is here with the City Multi YXM

M

itsubishi Electric has launched a new range of its City Multi R32 VRF air conditioning with outstanding

features and benefi ts designed to deliver more sustainable heating and cooling for commercial buildings.

With capacities from 12kW to 112kW in both Heat Pump and Heat Recovery versions, the new City Multi R32 YXM delivers improved performances over existing VRF models with a 20% reduction in both running costs and operational carbon, as well as a 10% improvement in energy effi ciency*.

The ultra-compact modular system also off ers outdoor units with a 6% smaller footprint than average.

City Multi R32 YXM is a new, future proof solution for both retrofi t and new-build projects. It has been completely re-engineered to include a unique patented vertical fl at tube heat exchanger, new defrost technology and market-leading levels of seasonal effi ciency. It also provides a 30-year lifespan on its BS EN378 compliant low-level leak detectors, compared to the industry average of 10 years.

“We’ve worked closely with our factories to deliver a high-quality product range that’s competitively priced and full of all the design features and fl exibility that has made City Multi the market-leading VRF system,” explains Jobin Varghese, VRF technical product manager. “Adding City Multi R32 YXM units to our lineup means we now off er the broadest VRF solution, with the most versatility, scalability, and quality.” *Based on 30kW outdoor unit

The CORE Magnetic Filter Range has expanded

2 025 marked a signifi cant

milestone with the launch of the exclusive CORE Side Stream Magnetic Filter, which quickly earned recognition for its effi ciency and innovative design. Following numerous successful installations, industry interest has grown rapidly. CORE introduced the Side Stream Filter Plus and the Side Stream Filter XL. Designed to deliver higher performance for demanding commercial and industrial applications. To further enhance the range, CORE has also launched the Full Flow Magnetic Filter, ideal for large heating systems and available in sizes from 2” to 3”. The Full Flow Magnetic Filter is designed to prevent the buildup of ferrous oxide and scale in central heating systems, reducing energy bills, extending boiler life, and reducing maintenance callouts. All CORE magnetic fi lters are BSRIA compliant and engineered with sustainability at the heart of the design, featuring: ¡ Industry-leading magnetic core – Maximises ferrous capture and eliminates fi nger-trap hazards ¡ Reusable stainless steel mesh fi lter – Captures dirt without the need for disposable cartridge fi lters ¡ Non-blocking design – Uninterrupted system fl ow ¡ UK manufacturing – Reducing the carbon footprint Last year, the CORE Side Stream Magnetic Filter was nominated

for multiple awards at various HVAC industry ceremonies and was highly commended in the Retrofi t and Reuse category at the British Construction Industry Awards (BCIA). Its recognition highlights CORE’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Renewables specialist relies on ESBE valves to deliver heat pump performance

A

Yorkshire-based heating and renewables engineer, serving commercial as well as residential clients, has been making extensive use of high-performance valves and other products from the range of Anglo-Swedish manufacturer, ESBE, in building his business. Damon said: “ESBE valves were recommended to me by another engineer, but I have come to appreciate the build quality and the versatility of the VRG valve as it can be altered to suit your plant room rather than installing your pipework to fi t the valve. This is thanks to the diff erent connection points and the fact they’re fully serviceable from the front. Also, you can purchase diff erent heads for them and alter wiring if necessary.

“The most recent project we’ve done has addressed a large private house in Sheffi eld featuring a total of three Heliotherm air source heat pumps – one covering the swimming pool and a pair of 22 kW units providing underfl oor heating and hot water across the main residence. We’ve utilised the 231 model for diverting and a 131 with the 120 second (speed) head for mixing. It is all commissioned now and is operating well.” Specifi ers and heating engineers seeking further information on ESBE’s product range and services can call on the support of ESBE’s technical advisory service or contact
