AEME: A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE FIRST VENT HYGIENE COMPANY IN THE UK

EME Ltd was the first ventilation hygiene company of its kind, established in 1992, it has been the mission of AEME and its founder Peter Reid, President of NAADUK, to push the boundaries of excellence in training, product development and guidance for over three decades. The AEME training centre was recommended by BESA as one of the go to centres of excellence for over 10 years. Having trained the London Fire Brigade, Westminster Environmental Health, BRE external assessors and BESA auditors over the years, AEME is a trusted partner of the industry. As highlighted in the last edition of the Heating & Ventilation Review, there is at least one serious fire in a UK commercial kitchen every day, having training centres with the knowledge and pedigree of AEME is vital to the continuation of safe practices across the industry.

The AEME training centre was the first to get CITB approval as an ATO centre in the UK and all courses are CPD accredited and approved by both CITB NI & NAADUK.

AEME is constantly looking to improve its offering and the knowledge of its trainers. AEME is now working with the NAADUK Academy to incorporate the national occupational standards in all courses. Over the past six months the NAADUK academy have been working with the SQA on several courses including 'Heating & Ventilating, Ductwork planning and installation Level 3 GR58 23'.
The future for AEME Ltd is looking as bright as the past as they continue to showcase the best of what the HVAC Indsutry has to offer for the safety of clients and the working conditions of all operatives. AEME Ltd will be represented at the HVR awards in October and look forward to seeing the worthy award winners representing their companies across from across the UK.
