Tendra acquires The James Mercer Group T
endra Technical Services has acquired The James Mercer Group, expanding its footprint in UK technical building services. Founded in 1941, The James Mercer Group operates
from Preston and Liverpool, delivering mechanical and electrical services, plumbing, drainage, HVAC and maintenance across defence, healthcare, education, corporate and industrial sectors. The business is regarded as a longstanding regional provider in North-West England. Tendra, a newly formed group bringing together technical services companies across the built environment,
currently includes The James Mercer Group, Fletchers Engineering and Coat Facilities Group. The organisation aims to create a national platform by aligning regional expertise and shared operational practices. Greg Davies, Group CEO of Tendra Technical Services, said the acquisition brings a “well-positioned regional champion” into the group and strengthens its technical capabilities. Andrew Moxham, Managing Director of The James Mercer Group, said joining Tendra marks an important step for the company after more than 80 years in operation, adding that the partnership provides the structure and backing needed for future growth.
