he Colombier Group, a family-owned forest industry converting and trading company, have been developing their own solution in the drive to reduce plastic in the packaging industry for many years now. Following a 9 million euro upgrade to its Barrier Coating machine in Pyhtää, Finland, the Colombier Group of companies are able to produce a plastic free, biodegradable, and

fully recyclable alternative to most plastic based packaging products.


“Our plastic-free EcoBarrier coating is suitable for all types of paper and board applications, and creates an eff ective barrier against moisture, oil, grease and gasses” said Ryan Langworthy, assistant managing director of Colombier UK Ltd. “Through product exploration and technology, we innovate recyclable and biodegradable
