The site is only four miles away from the previous location, so benefits from the same excellent transport links due to its proximity to the M1, whilst having little or no impact on staff, ensuring the team benefits too. announce the successful commissioning and startup of our new Tissue Paper machine in ICAD 2, Abu Dhabi. The first reel of tissue Jumbo reel was produced on 14th of July 2019.” Star Paper Mill, a new and modern
tissue paper manufacturing mill spread over 27,000 sqm, is located in the growing industrial city of Abu Dhabi (ICAD), UAE. The machine has been purchased from the world-renowned machinery manufacturer M/S RECARD Spa, Italy. It is a DCT Crescent Former Tissue machine with the latest flexi-nip shoe press technology, enabling higher bulk and softness. The machine deckle is 3.6 m having two rewinders with a capability of rewinding up to 4 ply. The annual production capacity would be about 40,000 tonnes of world-class prime quality virgin tissue paper. The company are striving to follow the
best environmental practices and to source the pulp from responsibly managed forests including FSC certified. They will offer products that are
manufactured to the highest standard of quality, together with the flexibility to meet the diverse needs of our valued customers locally and internationally. SPM will produce a wide spectrum of
hygienic tissue paper Jumbo Reels in various grades ranging from the most delicate 12.5 gsm to 38 gsm towels facial, toilet, napkin, kitchen towel, maxi, centerfeed, auto-cut, industrial rolls and hand towels. Its specialisation will be in value added products such as low gsm facial tissue, ultra-soft and smooth tissue, lotion tissue with a satin finish, bonded napkins, multicolor printable white napkin tissue and very high wet strength towels. The company will also be producing pastel shades tissues.
