(ABG) continues to expand its global infrastructure by opening ABG SpA as their official reseller in Chile and Bolivia. The new company will see the
leading finishing equipment manufacturer increase its support network to provide customers across South America with an even better ABG experience.
The announcement, which comes as a result of ongoing and significant worldwide demand for the company’s equipment, will provide opportunities for ABG to strengthen its footprint and further grow its brand.
The new business will be headed-up by Sebastian Rosero and Roberto Dahms. Prior to the company’s formation, Sebastian, Roberto and ABG had been working together for 5 years and have seen significant gains in the market due to this strong partnership.
Commenting on the launch of ABG Spa, Sebastian said: “We are delighted to finally have an official ABG entity in Chile and to become part of the wider ABG family”
“ABG’s chief executive, Richard Knight, added: “This is fantastic news for ABG and our customers in South America.”
Xwww.abgint.com Toppan’s new greenhouse gas emission reduction target approved by the SBTi
Toppan has obtained approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its 2030 target for reduction of scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, one of the Toppan Group Medium-and-Long-Term Environmental Targets for Fiscal 2030, which were established in 2021. The SBTi promotes the setting of science-based medium-to-long- term targets for GHG emission reduction by companies to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement, which established an international framework for mitigating climate change.
Toppan has achieved significant reductions in GHG emissions, obtaining SBTi approval for its targets in February 2019. In an effort to
contribute further to achieving the Paris Agreement’s target to ‘limit global warming to well below 2, preferably to 1.5°C, compared to pre-industrial levels,’ in 2021 Toppan established the Toppan Group medium-and-long-term environmental targets for fiscal 2030. The target for reduction of scope 1 and 2 emissions was raised to 32.5% (446 kt- CO2
e), an increase of 2.5% over the target set in 2019, with 2017 (1,373
e) being the base year. The new target has now been approved following the SBTi’s screening process.
