This robust QA and process control tool provides absolute thickness measurement of applied layers down to sub-micron levels over most substrates. The systems deliver precise coating thickness results at a rate of 100+ measurements per second, as compared to one measurement every five minutes (or more) using current off-line methods. With dual optical packages, these combination measurement tools are powered
by Sensory’s patented ruggedised optical interference (ROI) technologies. The new offerings precisely measure the wet or dry thickness of thin films and coatings on a wide variety of clear, opaque, and printed substrates including films, foils, primed paper, and plastics.
SpecMetrix systems all measure the exact coating thickness and film weights on coated webs, flat samples, film packages, monomer films, extrusions and finished film stacks. The thickness measurement range for transparent coatings is from 0.3 to 250 microns. The integrated and intuitive SpecMetrix software reduces set-up times and accelerates QA testing, data collection and analysis.
Thickness data is easily and efficiently exported to data acquisition, analysis and SPC systems.
All SpecMetrix systems ship with a verified Gage R&R result of <5%. The superior Gage R&R scores of SpecMetrix systems are setting a higher industry standard for measurement system performance.
