Welcome to the May issue of Converter. With the return of drupa this year, the highly anticipated printing event held in Dusseldorf, many printing companies are announcing new and innovative products and solutions which they will exhibit from May 28th to June 7th. We have included some of these announcements for your perusal with overviews of what you can expect to see over the course of the week. I hope that all those attending thoroughly enjoy the event. Martin Automatic at Drupa 2024 – Hall 11 Stand D69
US manufacturer of unwind/rewind and web tension technology, Martin Automatic, will be exhibiting two of its best-selling models at the upcoming trade fair in Düsseldorf May 28th to June 7th. On working display will be a Martin MBS automatic unwind butt/splicer and an LRD automatic rewinder. Using Martin’s ‘4Es ethos’ of Easy to use, Easy to understand, Easy to maintain, and Easy to integrate, the thrust of the company’s presentation at Drupa ’24 will be to show converters how to transform their web processes into non-stop profi t- making centres with the latest automatic splicing unwinds, rewinds and tension control systems. The MBS is designed for non-stop unwinding in label converting, fl exible
packaging, light paperboard, pouch, and bag production and with specialty performance webs like fi lter media and resilient non-woven webs, as used in the construction industries.
