Drying, Curing and UV
GEW’s diverse product range strengthened by new launch at drupa - Hall 16 | Stand E01
U
K-based curing systems manufacturer GEW will introduce a new UV LED system at drupa 2024. While GEW will feature its full product range, the focus will be on its very latest LED systems for sheetfed off set and industrial printing applications.
In the years since drupa in 2016, GEW has manufactured and installed hundreds of sheetfed UV curing systems globally, and has many years’ experience in designing bespoke systems for every major make and model in this sector. GEW’s Design and Engineering teams use measurement and 3D-modelling technology to ensure that every UV system installation is seamlessly integrated within the press to which
it is fi tted. This same methodical approach is applied for all GEW installations, whether for commercial print or packaging machinery. GEW has also designed and installed a vast range of UV systems at up to 2.5m wide, all around the world, and has a specialist team dedicated to the bespoke design of complex, large-scale industrial UV curing solutions. This encompasses an enormous range of applications such as UV hot melt, siliconisation, wide web off set & fl exo, excimer mattifi cation, direct-to-product decoration and wood coating. GEW’s full team of UV specialists will be on hand at drupa, ready to discuss customers’ individual requirements. GEW will also highlight its ‘ArcLED’ technology at drupa, whereby UV Arc and UV
LED lampheads can be simply and quickly interchanged on a press. ArcLED capability is available with almost every type of GEW system installation, whether for sheetfed off set, narrow web, mid or wide web machinery, and across a broad range of applications. A further benefi t of ArcLED is that it enables the customer to invest in any combination of Arc and LED in the short- term, safe in the knowledge that the investment is future-proofed. The UV system confi guration can be altered or fully upgraded to LED at a later date, and with minimal disruption. Robert Rae, Managing Director of Sales at GEW, comments: “Our UV systems are renowned for their intelligent design, reliability and energy effi ciency, which sets them apart as the default choice for many in the industry, whether for OEMs or for retrofi tted installations. This will be highlighted at drupa by the number of GEW systems in operation at various OEM stands all around the show, and this in itself speaks volumes about why visitors should stop off at the GEW stand.”
He concludes: “We have so much to offer the customer, across such a broad range of applications and with such precisely targeted solutions. We have installed around 25,000 systems globally and this is backed up with over 30 years of experience in the field. With this in mind, we are looking forward to welcoming customers old and new to our stand, and having the opportunity to outline what GEW can do for them.”
