O
rganisers say Vendex is continuing to grow each year attracting more exhibitor companies both
established and new. Show director Phil Reynolds said this year’s event would be “bigger than ever before”. “The show will offer 120 stands showing all the very latest the vending industry has to offer, plus all that’s new in the up and come out of home sector.” VI canvassed some of the exhibitors to
find out how current market trends are driving the product innovations which will be on display at Vendex North. Payment systems specialist VMC said foodservice in the workplace is changing, partly due to the growth in new hybrid working patterns after the pandemic. In office environments in particular the traditional catering service may have been scaled back to better suit the fluctuating customer numbers, and it is here that vending operators can capitalise on the opportunity. To this end, Laura Barwell, Head of Sales at VMC commented: “We’ve recently added a payment terminal to our portfolio. This new terminal offers our customers a 4G ready reader that is quick and simple to install, set up is free and the transaction rates are really competitive, making it a compelling package.” “We’re keen to showcase to visitors at Vendex North just how quick and easy it
is to add this reader to their machines, and also to share ideas on how with the power of VMC Flex in the background it can also incentivise spending with loyalty and promotions.” “It’s great to back out
doing live events and we look forward to seeing both new and familiar faces at the show, you can find us on stand 3.” Vianet has focuses on meeting industry demand for remote access, easy maintenance, contactless and multimedia capabilities. Rachel Little, Vianet marketing manager,
said: “Vianet (Stand 92) have been evolving its products over the last year with revolutionary technology that will undoubtedly futureproof the vending industry. “Vending management software has been advancing with new features and functionality for vending operators and is continually developed as the industry develops. Recently, a new service dashboard was launched giving vending operators a live view of site performance, helping to ensure service levels are maintained, machine downtime is minimised, and customers receive the best possible service. The latest launches also include new tools for scheduling routes, and a ‘prompt management’ tool, enhancing direct communication between office and field-based workforces via a mobile app. Vianet’s all-in-one contactless payment and vending management solution with touch screen glass display, integrated telemetry, data insight software and multiple network capabilities will also be showcased. This has multimedia capabilities, meaning it can connect to any screen via HDMI, and the contactless payment terminal will host videos or media played simultaneously from device to screen.
