The industry recognised the achievements of individuals and businesses at the IER Awards, which was held at the Park Plaza London Riverbank on Friday, June 16. Organised by IER’s publisher, Datateam Business Media, this was the 31st iteration of the IER Awards. Simon King reports

he IER Awards is the highest acclaimed celebration of excellence in the electrical retailing industry, and the
this year’s event was an impressive tribute to the individuals and companies operating within the market. The format of the event gave guests the opportunity to
experience demonstrations from some of the leading companies in the sector, before getting a chance to network with peers at the exclusive drinks reception. Linda Dorling, IER’s special products and events manager, took to the stage to welcome guests. She said: “The key concern of all within our industry has got to be sustainability. AMDEA’s on-going investment with its sustainability education programe, in partnership with the government, our sustainability partner for this event, Repic, and other industry partners all playing a key role. “Energy saving education and repairs & spares are also major
topics for consideration and I would like to acknowledge all the manufacturers, and in particular our sponsors here today, who invest in schemes and lend support for the independent electrical trade.” Mrs Dorling continued: “Energy efficiency and sustainability
awareness is now fully supported by retailers and IER magazine; with so much support, collectively we will make a real difference.” The IER Awards 2023 introduced some categories – The Industry
