ECLIPSE partners with Richer Sounds for demo systems
Hotpoint raises £20,000 for FoodCycle H
otpoint has raised a total of £20,000 for FoodCycle, a charity that fights food waste, food poverty and loneliness
across the UK. The Hotpoint Fresh Thinking for Forgotten Food campaign, in association with Hotpoint’s brand ambassador Jamie Oliver, has been encouraging consumers to make more mindful food decisions in an effort to reduce domestic food waste. The campaign saw the launch of the Fresh Thinking Pop-up Café, which opened to the general public in October, serving dishes that had been inspired by consumers who shared their recipes on how to use up some of the most commonly wasted foods in the UK. The café operated on a ‘pay-as-you-feel’ basis, with proceeds donated to FoodCycle. In addition to the Pop-Up Café, from September 17 to October 12, Hotpoint donated £3 to FoodCycle for each cooking product sold within a selected range.

apanese high-performance loudspeaker specialist ECLIPSE has announced that it has joined forces with UK A/V retailer Richer
Sounds to bring permanent demonstration 5.1 systems to a number of select stores in the south of England. The participating outlets include Richer Sounds’ Chelsea store in
London, the Southampton store in Hampshire, plus its Plymouth store in Devon. Chelsea has a permanent 5.1 system featuring TD307MK2A speakers with an ECLIPSE TD520SW subwoofer, the Plymouth store has five TD307MK2As and Southampton, ECLIPSE’s flagship Richer Sounds store, has seven TD508MK3s in its Dolby Atmos-enabled system. In addition, all three stores have TD508MK3 demonstration pairs available for two-channel listening. ECLIPSE is working with Richer Sounds to expand the A/V demonstration scheme beyond the south for 2019, with a growth plan set to move north in targeted geographic areas. ECLIPSE sales manager Paul Burnip commented: “With Richer Sounds’ long-standing reputation for high-quality A/V installations we are delighted that these stores have chosen to feature ECLIPSE speakers in their demonstration rooms. As a result, a much wider audience of film and multi-channel music lovers can experience how ECLIPSE speakers can deliver the full benefits of an Atmos-based system.” In total, three ECLIPSE loudspeaker models are available to buy
from the Richer Sounds group, the TD307MK2A, TD508MK3 and the TD510ZMK2.
