PATS Telford preview

PATS Telford gears up for biggest show ever

New product launches and inspiring seminars are on the agenda for the upcoming PATS Telford showcase

P

ATS Telford is gearing up to be the biggest show ever in the pet trade event’s 10-year history.

It will be the fourth year that PATS takes place at Telford

International Centre, where the exhibition hall will host over 200 exhibiting companies on Sunday and Monday, September 23 and 24, allowing buyers from specialist pet stores and garden centres to view all the latest product launches under one roof. As well as meeting up with a long list of PATS regulars, visitors

will be greeted by a host of new faces and new products, the organisers say. A growing number of companies are choosing to exhibit for the first time as they see PATS as the perfect place to announce their future plans. Show organiser Annie Foord said: “I’m happy to report that

the major pet companies are heading for Telford, as well as a host of new exhibitors, and we will also be welcoming an impressive number of overseas businesses. They obviously regard PATS as their major platform to showcase products to UK buyers.” PATS Telford is the ideal venue for visiting retailers to discover

what’s new in the market and an ideal opportunity to talk to manufacturers and suppliers. The New Product Showcase, sponsored by pbwnews, is a

great way for visitors to see and touch the new products they will be stocking. Last year more than 300 new items were entered into the Showcase so it is the best place to view potential bestsellers. The Showcase has been given a prime position,

acknowledging its importance to both exhibitors and visitors, and all items entered by manufacturers will be put forward for the New Product Awards judged by a panel of pet retailers. As well as seeing an array of new pet products and speaking

to top suppliers and manufacturers, visitors will also be able to witness demonstrations from the country’s leading dog groomers and listen to talks from prominent industry figures. A full list of exhibitors is available at www.patshow.co.uk,

together with information on how to reach the venue and regularly updated show news. PATS Telford has secured a strong line-up of speakers for two

days of seminars designed to give pet retailers ahead-of-the- game ideas on new lines, new approaches and new profit potential. The talks, produced in association with Pedigree Wholesale,

will take place in the Seminar Theatre at Telford International Centre on both days of the show. The free-to-attend series of seminars will cover a wide range

of topics including: how to drive sales of pet products, the key driver to the pet industry, new licensing laws, the strength of independent retail, the impact of Brexit, getting more visitors to your website and a focus on trends.

• PATS Telford will be held at the Telford International Centre on Sunday September 23 from 9.30am-5pm and Monday September 24 from 9.30am-4pm
