have modernised our optics to ensure a balanced lit environment, not just on the desk and walls but on the face of the teacher too so that a pupil can better understand facial expressions. Our product is rated to IP44 to ensure that customers are able to specify the same solution throughout a school to maintain a consistent design language.
Diffusalux 3
The new Diffusalux 3 solution has been designed for secondary areas such as circulation, toilets and stores. Continuing the theme of using a curved profile
to provide a well-lit space, new feature LOS,
an abbreviation for a light output switch, enables configuration of both the lumen output and the wattage.
Contrast Able to be mounted to a surface or a column, the new Contrast is a compact architectural floodlight range that is able to provide various light distributions ranging from a narrow 8 degrees up to a very wide 60 degrees, asymmetric or elliptical. It’s typically used to highlight the architecture of a building or illuminate a public area, and to make this easier we have integrated a basicDIM wireless control. This enables the user to change the colour temperature and light intensity to create the right ambient using a smartphone. If desired we are also able to create a dynamic colour changing scene to make buildings or objects distinctive.

luminaire from Ovia The U-Lite range of slimline linear LED luminaires from Scolmore Groupcompany, Ovia, has been designed and developed as the ideal retrofit replacement for single and twin-lamp fluorescent fittings.
U-Lite – the slimline linear LED W
ith 24 variants in the U-Lite range, Ovia is offering a product that is suitable for every market and for numerous applications, for example warehouses, manufacturing
facilities and car parks. They can be installed into walls and ceilings, or suspended. They come in standard, microwave sensor and emergency models, and in three different lengths - 1200mm, 1500mm and 1800mm. Each length is available in a single fluorescent lamp equivalent and a twin lamp equivalent output. Wattage ratings range from 21W to 72W Cool White (4000K) and they offer an LED lifetime of 50,000 hours (L70). Made from non-corrosive polycarbonate, each unit has an IP rating of IP65 and a tough impact protection rating of IK08 and they are all supplied with a 5 year warranty. The transparent frosted polycarbonate cover dispenses light outward with an even spread of light. Wiring and installation of the U-Lite is quick and easy using the piano
type 5-pole push fit terminals and the fittings come supplied with anti- tamper stainless steel assembly clips and screws, allowing the installer to secure the unit to prevent others accessing it. The adjustable fixing centres means that retrofitting to replace an existing unit is straightforward. By integrating the diffuser and gear tray and anchoring them to the base, the U-Lite ensures a hassle free installation without the need to fully disassemble the product to mount and wire it.
