imple and straightforward to install, the Silent Dual 100 offers dual functions, dual sensing and dual inlets, which make it one of the most versatile and innovative extract fans available,
backed-up with a full 5-year warranty. The Silent Dual 100 automatically adjusts its performance according to
the environment and ventilation requirements, via two sensors: a presence detector and a humidity sensor, making it ideal for applications such as care homes and communal residences. It also features EnviroVent’s innovative Silent motor block for quiet running. Rory Percival, head of R&D and technical for EnviroVent, explains: “This is a major development, which brings a versatile fan with low energy consumption, low noise levels and good aerodynamic performance. We are driving forward with innovation in ventilation technology to ensure installers can offer their customers the most efficient indoor air solution.” The innovative Dual Sensing function of the Silent Dual 100 means the fan operates automatically when it detects movement (via the PIR) or a rise in humidity levels. This activates a pre-set mode to achieve the lowest energy consumption and the lowest noise level. Designed with versatility in mind, the Dual Function facility allows the fan
to be programmed in intermittent or continuous running mode. In both operating modes, for smaller changes in humidity, the fan
incrementally increases the airflow rate until the humidity level has fallen below the set threshold, ensuring quiet and efficient operation. For larger changes in humidity, the fan reacts accordingly to this change in its environment and operates at full speed. The Silent Dual incorporates an intelligent algorithm to automatically adjust its settings according to the environmental conditions, without the
need for user interaction. The motor is commissioned to achieve the required flow rate, minimising the electricity consumption and noise levels to meet the exact ventilation requirement. The Silent Dual 100 is designed to operate with very quiet noise levels, suitable for WCs and bathrooms and can be installed in Zone 1. The fan has been designed to operate in either intermittent or continuous running mode with a PIR detector, humidity sensor, backdraft shutter and airflow guide vanes as standard.
The Silent Dual100 can be wall or ceiling mounted to meet Building Regulations – Part F (England), Scottish Building Standards and Part K (Northern Ireland).

New Duceri emergency exit signs from ESP E
SP has added three new products to its expanding Duceri LED Exit Sign range, which offers installers and designers a comprehensive range of
independently tested products which combine high performance with ease of installation. The new 4-in-1 Maintained Slimline Exit Box is manufactured
from polycarbonate to offer a compact and lightweight alternative to the traditional steel exit boxes and it is supplied with all directional legends (Up, Down, Left and Right). It features a 3W LED lamp, with 45 lumen maintained light output and offers a viewing distance of 29m. In addition, the fitting has a separate LED lamp on the base of the unit to illuminate the area immediately below for extra light distribution. The new 4-in-1 Maintained Exit Sign and 4-in-1 Hanging Exit
Sign are supplied with interchangeable, double-sided directional legends to assist with installation and stock considerations. The fittings each feature a 3W LED lamp, with 60 lumen maintained light output and offer a view distance of
24m.The hanging sign can be adjusted up to 650mm from the base.
Each new product offers three hours emergency duration, with charge and discharge protection, and a vibrant green LED battery charge
indicator.The fittings have been tested to meet BS EN 60598- 2-22 Standards (requirements for emergency luminaires).
