a commercial basis, delivering and maintaining East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s infrastructure and facilities. Various luminaires were included in the lighting design, notably flagship fittings, Contour and Platinum. The other notable downlighter used was the F-
Type. This popular compact downlight family includes F-Type Fixed, F-Type Adjustable, F-Type Dim2Warm and F-Type Colour Change, speed and ease of installation guaranteed due to Clip & Fit and Speed Fit wiring. Super-efficient Samsung LED chips deliver 100Llm/cW, with F-Type also offering leading and trailing edge dimming compatibility as standard. Both Atlas and Celeste bulkhead style luminaires
were used, various Atlas fittings were installed with integral microwave sensors to further reduce
energy consumption. With the corridor function selected, the sensor adjusts the light level to 10% of the normal level when the space is unoccupied. The seaside resort of Hornsea dates back to at
least the early medieval ages but blossomed in the Victorian era when the Hull and Hornsea Railway opened in 1864. With its stunning two-storey extension, Hornsea Hub will provide a new focal point for the central promenade, the project is part of a wider regeneration programme for the sea front designed to attract more visitors to the area, as well as serving the local community.
