Investing in product development As projects become more demanding, manufacturers must invest in products that respond to changing installation requirements. One example of this approach can be seen in the evolution of CMP’s cleat ranges to better address different cable sizes and installation demands. The Everest and Olympus ranges were developed for larger MV/HV cable diameters (typically 100–200 mm), offering increased strength, deeper cable contact and four-point clamping for high-load applications.


Recognising that some smaller cable installations can also benefit from a more robust solution, CMP introduced the Everest-S (trefoil) and Olympus-S (single cable) ranges. Everest-S covers 52–100 mm, while Olympus-S extends from 50–110 mm. Both retain the core design approach but with a more compact profile and two-point clamping. Positioned between standard and larger MV/ HV cleats, they provide additional strength where needed – such as longer support spacings or vertical installations - without over-specifying.
