EW Awards Meet the winners!


The COVID-19 pandemic may have made a live event impossible, but the winners of the 2020 EW Awardswere still delighted to receive their trophies. For many, the win provided a much-needed liſt during a difficult time for businesses across the UK, both large and small. In this, Part 2 of Electrical Wholesaler magazine’s coverage of the EW Awards 2020, editor Bryony Andrews spoke to a number of our winners to find out what receiving the coveted accolade means to them...

ollowing the latest information and social distancing guidance issued by the UK government, Datateam


Business Media made the difficult decision this year to cancel the EW Awards event, which was due to take place on Thursday 21 May 2020. Although the winners weren’t able to collect their trophies in person this year, winning an EW Award is still an outstanding achievement.


EW editor Bryony Andrews commented: “After months of planning this year’s event, the entire EW Awards team was of course disappointed that we were unable to go ahead with a live event this year. However the health and safety of everyone involved is our number one priority. “With that being said, we know that now –


perhaps more than ever – it’s essential to recognise all of the hard work dedication and innovation going on in the sector and celebrate


those that have been deservingly selected as winners by their peers. All winners have had the opportunity to receive their trophies in the post, and it was great to speak to some of our winners over the past month to find out how receiving an award during this difficult time has affected morale.”
