Voting for the Electrical Wholesaler Awards is open!
Having received a flood of entries from wholesalers, manufacturers and supporting industry figures from across the trade, it is now time for individuals operating within the electrical sector to help decide who deserves to win an accolade at the Electrical Wholesaler Awards 2021.
T
his year, you will once again have the chance to have your say in the Brand categories, where your votes will be
counted in order to decide the overall winners. This voting process is vital, explains Bryony Andrews, editor of EW, as it provides a way for the industry to highlight those brands and product that they feel have really pushed the boundaries of innovation over the past year. Voting is open NOW, so make sure you
support the brands, wholesalers and professionals that you feel deserve to lift a prestigious trophy by heading to the dedicated Awards website:
www.electricalwholesalerawards.co.uk/vote/ and casting your votes. Entries for the Wholesaler categories,
meanwhile, will go before a panel of specially- selected experts. The critique of these judges will be the key factor in deciding who will be deemed to be worthy of walking away from the event as a champion. As in previous years, there are three types of
award – one for wholesalers, the other for manufacturers/supplier – and one ‘general’ , all with several subcategories such as training, customer service and digital performance, as well as specific product subcategories for manufacturers. EW editor Bryony Andrews said: “Winning an
Electrical Wholesaler Award really means something to those who enter – with the additional benefit of the boost that this brings to their business. The awards are an opportunity for wholesalers and suppliers alike to highlight to the industry their commitment to their customers.”
Will you be joining us? New for this year, the EW Awards will not take place in London as usual. While the UK government has provisionally stated that business events, conferences and trade shows may resume, after much careful consideration
EW publisher Datateam Business Media has decided not to host the Awards in its traditional format. Instead, it is excited to reveal plans to move the event to a digital platform for 2021 – enabling even more professionals to participate. EW editor Bryony Andrews commented:
“The health and safety of everyone involved is our number one priority, but we also know that now – perhaps more than ever – it’s essential to recognise all of the hard work going on in the sector and celebrate those that have been deservingly selected as winners by their peers. We believe that by moving the EW Awards to a live streamed virtual event, we can still provide an event that honours the ethos of the awards while safeguarding everyone involved.” The live stream will be hosted on the
dedicated EW Awards website,
www.electricalwholesalerawards.co.uk, on 20 May - timings to be confirmed. No registration is required to attend – professionals are simply invited to log on to the stream, grab a glass of bubbly if they like and join in the celebrations on the social wall by using the dedicated hashtag on social media. The live presentation will be a shining
display of the very best that the sector has to offer, and is sure to be unmissable for both
those in the running and the wider industry as leading wholesalers, brands and professionals are crowned as champions in front of the industry’s elite. Bryony continued: “I am delighted to have a chance to invite everyone involved in the electrical wholesaling sector to join us on 20 May for the first ever live stream EW Awards.”
