Distribution TTI supports its customers with technical experts at electronica 2024 T

TI IP&E – Europe, a specialty distributor of electronic components, will highlight its value-added service capabilities at electronica in Munich, Germany, in hall C3, stand 578, 12th – 15th November 2024. During the show, visitors to the stand can also speak with technical experts on diverse applications, ranging from smart buildings and smart energy to industrial automation and e-mobility.

“Our technical experts, who are qualified Electronic/Electrical engineers, bring extensive design experience to their areas of expertise,” said Ros Kruger, director technical marketing, TTI IP&E – Europe. “We aim to assist with your application requirements during design and development, offering impartial advice and guidance from leading manufacturers.” TTI will showcase the latest advancements in data connectivity, EMI, and circuit protection for the automotive sector, which are essential for the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. As Dermot Byrne, director industry marketing – transportation Europe, TTI IP&E – Europe, highlighted: “For ultra-fast charging equipment, we focus on power supplies, HV contactors, and MCS charging solutions. Additionally, we’re seeing new progress in sensor, discrete, and HV connector technologies, which are crucial for fully electric and fuel-cell vehicles.”

“Artificial intelligence is poised to accelerate progress in factory automation and robotics, while advancements in renewable energy generation, infrastructure development, and storage solutions are catalysing innovation within the energy and power sectors,” said Markus Lorenz, director, industry marketing, industrial, TTI Inc.– Europe. “Meanwhile, heat pumps are becoming increasingly significant in reducing carbon emissions in the heating systems used in building automation.” “TTI Europe’s IP&E inventory also encompasses a comprehensive range of passive components, unmatched by other distributors in Europe,” says Felix Corbett, director supplier marketing passives & discretes Europe, TTI IP&E – Europe. “Our linecard features suppliers at the forefront of all passive technologies. Moreover, our discrete semiconductor portfolio now encompasses essential products such as diodes, MOSFETs, LEDs, and IGBTs.”

TTI Europe’s design support services cover areas including connector and cable assembly design, wireless modules and antennas, sensor technology, as well as power electronics and high-voltage products. The company also offers flexible supply chain services, including low minimum order quantities and support from design to serial production, helping to buffer demand fluctuations. Tailoring kitting options to streamline production, offering de-spooling

services for contacts and custom header modifications, improves on-demand fulfilment. “As a specialist distributor for Europe’s defence, aerospace, and space sectors, TTI provides a range of IP&E products sourced from a comprehensive portfolio of suppliers,” says Lee Thompson, director industry marketing defence, aerospace & space Europe, TTI IP&E – Europe. “Our state-of-the-art connector assembly line is QPL-approved for aerospace and defence applications, and all of our lines are officially authorised by suppliers, including Amphenol, ITT Cannon/VEAM, EATON/Souriau and TE Connectivity”. During electronica, visitors to the

stand can discover innovative electronic technologies from manufacturing partners, including sensors from TE Connectivity, Honeywell, and Sensata Technologies and interconnect solutions from 3M, Aptiv, Harwin, JAE, Molex, Phoenix Contact, Smiths Interconnect, and Rosenberger. They will also be able to learn more about passive and discrete components from Vishay, Littelfuse, Murata, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, TDK, and YAGEO, and switching products from APEM, C&K (now part of Littelfuse), and Teledyne Relays. www.ttieurope.com

Farnell now stocking Abracon's new AOTA series mini-moulded inductors F

arnell has announced the availability of Abracon’s new AOTA Series mini-moulded inductors. Building upon the success and advantages of its traditional moulded inductors, Abracon has expanded its moulded inductor technology into the realm of sub-3mm inductors which, despite their compact size, deliver the same impressive performance as their larger counterparts.

Farnell supplier account manager and Abracon specialist Euan Gilligan said: “The mini-moulded inductors deliver all the benefits of traditional moulded inductors, including superior EMI shielding, high power density, and low core losses, despite their small size. The benefit is that these inductors effectively mitigate unwanted EMI, handle significant power loads, and exhibit low core losses, thereby ensuring enhanced signal integrity, space efficiency, and improved energy efficiency in electronic circuits.” By migrating the power of its moulded inductor technology to smaller package sizes, Abracon continues to provide

solutions that meet the evolving needs of the electronics industry.

For example, Abracon’s AOTA Series is highly suited to IoT, machine-to-machine, secure car access, item tracking, indoor navigation and other connected applications. They are a suitable alternative to traditional resin-shielded or multi-layer inductors, offering higher

performance at a lower cost in a smaller size. The AOTA Series inductors are available from Farnell in 1.4mm x 1.2mm to 2.5mm x 2.0mm package sizes with a maximum height as low as 0.65mm to support small and low- profile designs.

They are available with inductance values from .11 to 10 µH with low DCR, low core

losses and saturation current up to 14.5 amps to support significant power loads and high-power density requirements. All Abracon AOTA Series inductors are available and shipping from Farnell in EMEA.
