Two new categories have been introduced for 2026: Industrial AI Product of the Year and Passive Component / Electromechanical Product of the Year. Industrial AI Product of the Year reflects the rapid growth of artificial intelligence across instrumentation and electronics, while Passive Component / Electromechanical Product of the Year addresses the importance of the foundational components that underpin system reliability, performance and long-term operational stability across modern electronic designs. Full criteria for each category are available on the awards website at:
iandeawards.co.uk/ categories-criteria
The entry process is open to organisations and individuals across the instrumentation and electronics community. Entrants can submit nominations directly through the
website, where each category has its own entry form and guidance on eligibility and supporting information.
Nominations remain open until 30 June 2026. In the Product and Individual categories, the results of an online public vote will hold a 50 per cent weighting in the final decision, combined with the outcomes determined by an independent panel of expert judges. In the Business categories, however, the online industry vote will be the sole determining factor.
Winners will be announced on 15 October 2026 at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London, where the industry will gather to celebrate the year’s most significant achievements.
