from electromagnetic interference signals present in the environment. Benefits of EMI/RFI filters include:

● Ensures electrical equipment complies with CE, UKCA and EMC Standards

● Reduces EMC interference and prevents PLCs, sensors and PCs from failing

● Increases product life of sensitive components and prevents production downtime

Industries

Industries include material handling equipment, OEMs, automated machinery, any equipment using servo drives, VFDs, and AC-DC switching components.

Enerdoor’s EMI/RFI Series Enerdoor provides EMC filtering solutions designed to protect and optimise equipment, in three product categories: single-phase, three-phase, and three-phase plus neutral filters. Single-phase filters are used to bring electrical and electronic products into compliance with national and international EMC Standards. They carry CE, UKCA, UL and CSA approvals and offer a current range from 1 to 75A with nominal voltage up to 250 Vac. Three-phase filters reduce electromagnetic interference and help maintain compliance with emission standards. They offer a current range from 1 to 3000A with nominal voltage up to 690 Vac

and is one of the largest and most complete filtering solutions in the industrial automation industry. Three-phase plus neutral filters provide high attenuation in a compact case with low leakage current and are suitable for several industries. They offer a current range from 1 to 2000A with nominal voltages up to 600 Vac.

Enerdoor filters carry CE, UKCA, UL and CSA approvals and offer a 5-year warranty.

EMI/RFI Filter buying guide – five top tips Compliance: Is the filter required for compliance to a CE Directive or standard? This may determine which filter is needed. If an EMI filter is required with no particular standard in mind, this can also change the selection. Certifications: Is UL, CE, UKCA, or CSA certification required? Be sure the filter meets the certification requirements. Sizing: The filter should be properly rated for the voltage and FLA of the equipment. Performance: Determine the level of attenuation required to ensure the equipment will work properly. Do any measurements or data need to be considered? Product designers should also consider if there are multiple VFDs or particularly sensitive components that will require a higher performance filter. Installation: Ensure proper installation for achieving the best

results from an EMI filter. This may require setting aside room in the control cabinet for an EMI filter. Typically, best practice is to install the filter as close to the mains disconnect as possible, upstream of all sensitive components on the branch
