News: Rochester Electronics

Rochester Electronics provides comprehensive support for NXP solutions

Rochester Electronics is proud to collaborate with industry leader NXP Semiconductors, offering unparalleled access to over 40 million units of microcontrollers, processors, sensors, and RF/wireless devices. With a shared commitment to supporting customers across the entire product lifecycle, this partnership ensures the availability of active and obsolete products for critical markets, including automotive, industrial, medical, aerospace, and defence. Rochester Electronics bridges the gap in supply chain continuity, providing licensed manufacturing, end-of-life inventory, and innovative solutions to meet ongoing demand.

R

ochester Electronics is privileged to partner with many leading semiconductor suppliers, with one of our longest-standing collaborations being with NXP

Semiconductors.

NXP is a leading supplier of microcontrollers and microprocessors in the market. They also offer a range of complementary sensors, power management, and RF/wireless devices. While NXP has achieved significant success in automotive applications, the company remains committed to serving other markets where it has traditionally been a strong supplier, including industrial, medical, aerospace, and defence.

Supporting a wide range of customers with various product lines, NXP recognises the importance of customer support throughout the product lifecycle. Through this collaboration, Rochester assists in addressing this support in several ways:  Providing an inventory of both active and obsolete lifecycle products

 Purchasing stock during discontinuation cycles to maintain inventory beyond the last-time-ship date

 Offering licensed manufacturing services for obsolete products where demand continues after available inventory has been depleted Rochester supports NXP processors, which include over 40 million units across 4,000 part-number combinations. This includes ARM Cortex-M and Cortex-A CPU cores (in the popular i.MX, Kinetis®, LPC, and QorIQ® families), PowerPC CPU cores (in the PowerQUICC®, QorIQ microprocessors, and MPC5x microcontrollers families), and legacy

architectures such as MC68000, MC6800, S08, S12, and other product families. We also provide continued production of previously discontinued processors, including several versions of the MC68000 and MC6800 families, and are developing a solution for the MPC860 PowerQUICC family. Additionally, we maintain an extensive inventory of NXP power management, sensor, and RF/wireless products. Our NXP power management inventory includes regulators, PMICs, and monitors designed to complement processor products.

Our NXP sensors portfolio comprises a large selection of accelerometers, such as the MMA8451Q, MMA8452Q, and

MMA8453Q devices, along with various pressure and temperature sensors, including many automotive versions. Rochester’s NXP RF/wireless inventory includes SOCs offering WLAN, ZigBee®, and BLE transceiver solutions, as well as RF discrete components, including high-power RF amplifiers and transistors.
