is highly innovative, continually developing programs to support its expanding customer base. Most recently, the NPI (New Product Introduction) programme which sees Anglia offer free samples of all our semiconductor NPIs as well as stocking every one of our development kits – the only distributor in Europe to do this – have been warmly welcomed by customers who regard samples and devkits as the lifeblood of design.” The Digi award recognises OEM demand generation across EMEA, something we could not have offered before, and which – as explained above – needs resources to fund.
We’ve also signed a plethora of new franchises this year including Alliance Memory (memory), Lorlin (switches), Mueller (test leads and probes), Lifud (LED drivers), Vero (prototyping PCB’s and test pins), Sensata (sensors) and Hahn (custom transformers). We’re also in the process of adding a number of analog, linear and power products from leading suppliers in Asia. Having sold these categories of parts for many years, we know the customer base, the applications and the preferred parts. Stay tuned for a raft of announcements in 2026.
As mentioned, Anglia believes in being bold and innovative. In recent years we have led the way in sustainability, with a whole gamut of activities including reusable and recyclable packaging and paperless trading. Recycling is employed throughout the company. We sell or give away to charities items such as computers and printers that we no longer use. Product disposal is handled only via authorised and registered recycling agents, we have reduced power consumption in all departments, and we only buy equipment that has been classified as low energy. We avoid unnecessary travel and encourage the use of EVs and cycling for the office commute. All our suppliers are asked to share their green credentials. And, of course, buying product that is held at our distribution centre in the UK incurs far fewer air miles than from the big ‘self-service’ distributors who ship from the US.
This year we added Anglia Plus, a customer loyalty scheme that offers extended payment terms and cash back for customers that place orders through Anglia Live. Customers are automatically enrolled in Anglia Plus and immediately receive 90-day terms for all future orders. Every time an order is placed, the total spend will accrue. When thresholds are reached, an amount will be credited to the customer’s account. Three reward levels are offered: Silver – spend £/€5000 in the qualifying period to earn £/€500; Gold – spend £/€10,000 to earn £/€1000; and Platinum – receive £/€2,500 credit for spending £/€25,000.
But we can only be bold and innovative with the co-operation and imagination of our dedicated staff. To reward our staff, we moved initially to a 4.5 day working week in 2022, we found this to be hugely successful and beneficial to our business

and staff, so it made complete sense to take another bold step and move to a four day week which we introduced in September this year. This move has been welcomed across the company, enabling staff to engage in other activities – family, hobbies, volunteer work and other outside interests – while improving productivity. I personally want to thank all our staff for their commitment to Anglia and for their willingness to embrace change.
So, while these past couple of years have been a challenge, we’ve taken the opportunity to develop, broaden our services and encompass new ideas. We’re confidently expecting an upturn in 2026 and are better placed to support customers than ever before.
