Smiths Interconnect launches new PCB connector for rail and industrial applications
Intercompact Series optimized and qualified for next generation Electronic Control Units Sealed with Excellence
Oxley Group are electronic component suppliers who manufacture high performance equipment including PCB test points and surface mount test points which meet the most stringent standards. The Snaplox product has a unique ball and socket arrangement that enables highly accurate testing by
providing eight points of low resistance contact through a 60°connection angle to reduce the risk of board damage.
Oxley designed the Barb Cone Lock technology which ensures a long life and stable fixing in the
chassis. They are constructed from PTFE and have an elastic property which allows the barbed metal spill to lock itself in place by gently expanding the PTFE underneath the chassis during insertion. Each product is available in different finishes varying from Silver, Palladium, Gold, Tin Lead and SurTec 650.

Harwin Introduces New Compact Mezzanine Connectors For High-Density Industrial Applications
With a stack height of only 5mm, Harwin’s Archer .8 dual- row board-to-board connectors are ideal for PCB designs with restricted space. These 0.8mm pitch connectors are engineered to meet the demanding technical requirements of modern industrial applications including factory automation and environmental monitoring equipment, smart meters, servers/data centre hardware, and EV battery management systems. Phosphor bronze contacts have a current
carrying capacity of 0.5A and data transfer rates of 12GHz or 24Gb/s. The range includes pin count options of 30, 40, 60, 80, 100 and 120. Polarisation features help maintain correct orientation and prevent mis-mating, and integrated shrouded housings protect contacts from accidental damage. All connectors are supplied in tape and reel packaging with pick & place caps and fitted locating pegs, making automated assembly processes simple and straightforward. The rugged construction ensures reliable long-term operation in even the most challenging of application settings. Designed to operate within a wide temperature range (-40°C to 125°C), Archer .8 connectors are compact, robust, and reliable.

Pickering Electronics SIL/SIP reed relays handle higher continuous carry currents to 3A
Highest quality switches with sputtered ruthenium contacts suit low level ‘dry’ switching
Pickering Electronics, the reed relay company which has pioneered miniaturization and high performance for over 50 years, has launched the Series 100 HC high power SIL/SIP reed relay that is rated for 1A switching at up to 40W and up to 3A continuous carry current. Featuring the highest quality instrumentation-grade switches with sputtered ruthenium contacts, Series 100 HC relays are suitable for low level or ‘dry’ switching applications. Commented Kevin Mallett, Technical Specialist at
Pickering Electronics: “The Series 100HC offers over double the coil resistance of other similar products and the continuous carry current specification of 3 Amps can be increased in pulsed current applications.” “The higher coil resistance also results in reduced heating giving Series HC reed relays a thermal EMF performance less than 10μV,” he adds. Series 100 HC high power SIL/SIP reed relays feature an internal mu-metal screen to minimize issues that
would otherwise be experienced due to magnetic interaction when they are closely stacked. Devices are available with 5, 12 or 24V coils with optional internal diode and with one or two switches in a single package. The new high power SIL/SIP reed relays are suitable for high power applications, and in many cases
may be used as an alternative to mercury wetted reed relays. More information is available at
