provide cable assembly manufacturing from its purpose-built production facilities in the UK and Slovakia. The company is ISO 9001, AS9120 and AS9100 (Slovakia) certified, and all production staff work to IPC620C standard. Specialities include flexible, conformable, and semi-rigid coaxial assemblies, various multiwire assemblies, overmoulded cable assemblies, panel wiring looms and wiring harnesses. Closer to home, Easby Electronics returns for 2022. A leading UK supplier and distributor of electronic components, its vast range of products includes custom batteries, power supplies, semiconductors, displays, electromechanical, passive components, opto electronics, IoT devices and EV charging cables and accessories. Another well-known returnee is CamdenBoss, which will be showcasing a range of bespoke EV charging enclosures, alongside examples of its extensive catalogue of off-the-shelf enclosures and electromechanical components. Interconnection specialist, Selwyn Electronics showcases its wide range of waterproof, industrial and high performance push-lock connectors. Its waterproof range covers circular, USB, RJ45, HDMI, D type and input/output connectors, particularly suitable for marine and lighting applications, including LED lighting, but can be used in any application requiring a low cost solution where moisture or dust protection is required. The company’s range of circular connectors now includes M8 and M12 connectors which are NMEA2000-approved. Binder UK will unveil its new M8 sensor connector addition to its Sensor Connector portfolio. The M8 signal cable connectors support efficient and reliable installations in sensor and actuator applications. Featuring snap-in quick locking they are now offered with three to six pins. They are suitable for industrial applications that require reliable signal transmission and are subject to installation space constraints. Straight, over-moulded M8 snap-in connectors have been added to the 718 product series. In addition to three- and four-pin models,

these are now also available in five- and six-pin versions.

More sophisticated components on show include secure embedded memory products from Nexus Industrial Memory. Its Flexxon’s X-PHY solid state drive (SSD) was selected by Lenovo for what are expected to be the world’s first ‘all-in-one’ AI cybersecurity laptops. The SSDs are proving popular in embedded systems as security is implemented in the drive’s firmware, which monitors for threats in real-time and locks down the moment a threat is detected. There will be demonstrations to simulate cyber- attacks on the X-PHY as well as a range of Flexxon’s memory ICs, cards and modules. RF Solutions will be displaying additions to its range of LoRa radio modules launched back in 2019 together with its recently launched HIRK modules. Showcasing the Lambda 62 RF module, a 868/915Mhz LoRa transceiver featuring the Semtech SX1262 LoRa providing ultra-long range of 20KM+. The Lambda 80 will also be available to view which is a long range LoRa RF module operating at 2.4GHz, the only world-wide licence-exempt fband, featuring the Semtech SX1280 LoRa spread spectrum. According to the fi rm, these highly effi cient, affordable

modules enable new applications never previously realised.

TDK-Lambda UK, will display two of its most recent power supply ranges; the UK-designed CUS400M and the latest additions to its popular Genesys+ programmable power supplies. ESI Technology will showcase its GS4400 pressure transmitter with RS-485 interface. New releases on display on the Midas Displays’ stand will include smart TFT displays with CAN bus interface, and RGB LCDs.

Subcontract expertise is also much in

evidence, with everything from design and contract assembly to PCB production and inspection. Electronics design and software development consultancy Ignys will be offering specialist advice on designing-around the global chip shortage. Esprit Electronics will

highlight its range of services, including PCB assembly, NPI, DFT/

DFM, test and inspection, conformal coating or

box build. PCB specialists returning for 2022 include European Circuits and

Shenzhen X-Mulong.

The ever-popular free seminar programme also returns for 2022 in a socially-distanced format. With UK business now operating in an extremely challenging and dynamic business environment, keeping abreast of the latest legislation and management strategies has never been more important. This year, among the topics discussed will

be the impacts of Brexit and Covid-19 on HMRC R&D Tax Credits. The latest requirements of CE marking are discussed by Mike Foster, MD, The CE Marking Association. Tim Scurlock of Applied Lean Consulting gives some ideas on how to drive continuous improvement in your business; Graham Cooper offers tips on energy usage reduction in manufacturing and Nick Aitken and Dr Alex Martin give advice on how to handle a product safety incident. Sessions run over all three days and a full list is available on the show’s website at www.industrysouth.co.uk

Farnborough International Exhibition Centre is among Europe’s most up-to-date exhibition sites, with extensive infection control measures in place to help ensure as low-risk an environment as possible. There’s free onsite car parking for 3,500 vehicles, as well as a dedicated free bus service between Farnborough’s train stations straight to the show. The venue itself delivers a very good standard of services including a free WiFi service and on-site catering.
