Advertorials embedded world 2019: Real-Time Innovations (RTI)
in hall 4, 471 New product version of RTI’s Connectivity Software: Connext 6 for Healthcare and Autonomous systems
At embedded world 2019 (February 26-28, Nuremberg, Germany), Real-Time Innovations (RTI) will focus on the newest product version of their connectivity software, Connext 6. It is specifically designed for highly autonomous systems with large volumes of data, such as
autonomous cars and Healthcare systems.
Connext 6 allows system architects to address key technical challenges in complex autonomous systems, including effective management of high-bandwidth sensor data, simple integration with standardised interfaces, and optimized security, including for safety-critical systems. New features are compatible and interoperable across RTI’s Connext product suite – Connext DDS Secure, Professional, Micro and Cert. Moreover, RTI’s connectivity software, based on the Data Distribution Service (DDS) standard, provides the ability to integrate OPC-UA into DDS systems, and run DDS with the emerging IEEE TSN set of standards.

Myrra 47000 & 48000 series of encapsulated Switch Mode Power
The power supplies offer an alternative to traditional discrete component designs providing an immediate solution with increased efficiency, reduced component count and save PCB space. The 2.4W to 5W range provides a form-fit-and-function replacement for EI30 type transformer-based power supplies.
The 48000 series is a very compact design (25 x 25 x 16mm) and provides power from 1W to 3W. The series also has VDE and UL certification and is EMC compliant.
The 47000 series are compact PCB mount devices and are available with output power from 2.4 to 60 Watt and single outputs from 5.0 to 24VDC. The input range is 85VAC - 265VAC at 47-63Hz or 120-370VDC. Their very low standby power consumption and high efficiencies ensure the series meet the requirements of Energy Star.
The encapsulated Switched Mode Power Supplies are based on flyback topology with the enclosure manufactured from UL 94-V0 plastic and resin. They meet all requirements of IEC/EN61558-2-16, IEC/EN62638, IEC/EN60335, UCUL60950 and are CE marked. Conducted and radiated EMC emissions conform to EN55014, EN55032, CLASS B, EN61000-3-2 CLASS A, EN61000-3-3, IEC61000-4-2, IEC61000-4-3, IEC61000-4-4, IEC61000-4-5, IEC61000-4-6 and IEC61000-4-11.

AdoptSMT at Southern Manufacturing 2019
AdoptSMT showcases at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2019 an array of new and updated and innovative products such as:
Solder preforms AdoptSMT has successfully started marketing and selling taped standard solder preforms throughout Europe. As these preforms are supplied on reels to be placed by standard tape feeders, they ideally match AdoptSMT’s product portfolio.
Product Identification & Masking/Laser Markable SMT Labels
AdoptSMT will be demonstrating their full identification range of labels, printers, ribbons and the Hover Davis Axium label feeder for auto application of PCB identification and traceability labels. The LML takes the advantages of labels and laser marking and eliminates the limitations each of these separately have.
www.adoptsmt.com eDAQXR from HBM offers rugged mobile solution
Now available from HBM – a market leader in the field of test and measurement – is the Somat eDAQXR, which is the next generation data acquisition system which has been developed for use in harsh environments.
Suitable for conducting tests in any number of applications, including agriculture, construction, mining, automotive, recreational vehicles and military, to name but a few, the Somat eDAQXR is the ideal choice for both new customers looking for a rugged data acquisition system, and existing customers looking to preserve current systems.
With a significantly smaller footprint than its eDAQ predecessor, this powerful processor offers a wider operating temperature range of -40 to 80°C and a lower operating power requirement of 8-36V.
The eDAQXR is a layered centralised data acquisition system with the ability to connect to remote SomatXR signal
conditioning modules, making it a centralised or distributed system able to meet any test requirements.
Featuring on board memory, tests can be performed without the need to connect a PC, and with its robust Linux operating system and built-in internal backup power, the system is capable of running a one hour attended test or one month cross country test. Data just needs to be uploaded to a PC for analysis when the test is complete.
Tested to MIL – STD202G, the eDAQXR is completely sealed to meet IP67/IP65 environmental standards and has been designed to withstand vibrations of 20G, and shock up to 75G.
As the eDAQXR platform evolves, customers can mix their current DAQ signal conditioning layers, with new eDAQXR signal conditioning layers, and also combine these with remote modules from the SomatXR platform, and maintain synchronisation across all channels.
