What are the main sectors of reichelt's product portfolio?
W
e have 100,000 different products in our portfolio for business, trade professionals, as well as DIY and hobbyist consumers. Our focus areas are: smart technology, LED/lighting, mini-PCs like Raspberry Pi, soldering, network tech, measuring tools and 3D printing. We aim to deliver the highest quality products from a range of trusted brands for the best prices possible to our customers across Europe.
Tell me about the process in which you select a product for market?
Electronic components are the indispensable basis for turning today's visions into tomorrow's innovative products. Our task is to present new products and materials in a timely manner. An intensive, comprehensive observation of the market and technological developments, as well as close contacts to manufacturers, enable us to identify solutions and alternatives for current problems. Our aim is always to achieve 100 per cent customer satisfaction. We constantly strive to meet all requirements and expectations, to comply with the required specifications - even for our smallest electronic components. In the development of electronic components, more and more attention is being paid to using raw materials available to implement a RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) -compliant process for product development. Furthermore, the entire value-added process does not end with the European WEEE regulations to ensure environmentally friendly disposal, but also includes reuse and recycling for long- term sustainability.
Is any of your technology patented, or do you have a more open source approach?
At reichelt elektronik, we are always open to new opportunities. We want to meet our customer needs and present offers that are special, unique and new. But we also recognise that having alternatives and variation is just as important. This is the only way to design new innovative products. Constant updates and expansion of our portfolio is achieved through attractive manufacturers and creative product managers, and is ensured by internal and external quality controls.
Are you working in collaboration with any other manufacturers?
This, too, is an area where we are open to cooperation. Well-proved solutions are just as important as new and innovative ones. In the component market, there is constant change: many companies merge to form better prepared organisations for
