What is your favourite men’s footwear brand/manufacturer – ditto ladies/children’s brand – and why?
Our favorite lady’s brand is Art and children’s really more than one as each of them has their own qualities.
How do you select your products – which criteria do you use / what are your customers looking for? We always look into quality and fitting of shoes first then styling and price. Our customers are looking for a reliable pair which will last them a while and comfort. This follows with styling and pricing. The price is becoming a bit more sensitive giving the current situation in the world.
Which footwear/fashion shows do you attend, how do you rate them? Are you planning to attend a Show next year, if so, which one? We attend Moda, Pure and did attend Micam in the past. We will attend the same again Moda and Pure.
Do you have a favourite footwear agent you can tell us about? Yes we love working with our diverse range of footwear agents in promoting their brands’
Have you always had a passion for footwear? How many pairs of shoes do you own? Do you have a favourite pair? I have not had a passion for footwear and my passion was always in engineering but over the years, I developed a great love and affection towards what I do and I love my products. I have too many pairs of shoes but seem to wear always the favourites! This is always either a pair of Fly or Art.

How do you think the Government could best help footwear retailers at this difficult time, i.e. lower business rates, rents, VAT etc? The Government is helping with business rates this year, they should be looking to extend financial business rate support on following years. We could really benefit with having help from Sheffield Council/Central Government. The decisions are not made for improving shopping at independent retailers. As an independent retailer, we would definitely like to work with council on improving parking around our area so that the shoppers have a piece of mind on finding a parking and walk with their children to the shops.
Do you have any plans for the future?
Yes we have lots of exciting plans – the one we will be concentrating on will be to expand our TT Kids Children’s range in the domestic market.
