he glittering awards ceremony began with the Accessory Brand of the Year, which was won by Skechers. This was followed by the Men’s Footwear Brand of the Year and Ladies Footwear Brand
of the Year which were awarded to Rieker and Caprice, respectively. The Children’s Footwear Brand of the Year went to Superfit; while Skechers achieved another accolade with the Outdoor Footwear Brand of the Year category. The Fashion Footwear Brand of the Year was won by Lunar. The next award was the Shoecare Brand of the Year which went to Shoe String Laces.
The Footwear Industry Awards prides itself on promoting those within the independent sector of the industry alongside the big brands. The first winner in this category was The Shoe Room Doncaster for the Men’s Independent Footwear Retailer of the Year award. The Ladies Independent Footwear Retailer of the Year was awarded to Robin Let Shoes. Next in this category was Children’s Independent Footwear Retailer of the Year and Fashion Independent Footwear Retailer of the Year which were both won by North Shoes.

Following these was Outdoor Independent Footwear Retailer of the Year which went to J Shoes; New Independent Footwear Retailer of the Year was won by Kentish footwear retailer Pretty Woman Whitstable; and Millars Shoe Store took the prize for the Independent Family Footwear Retailer of the Year.
The next category of glittering celebration was for the wonderful individuals that make our industry what it is. First of these, was Multiple Footwear Retailer of the Year won by Charles Clinkard. The coveted Platinum Shoe Award went to Charles and David Denton, DB Wider Fit Shoes. Caprice GB’s Stephen Joseph walked away with the evening’s Leader in Customer Service award. Footwear Designer of the Year was awarded to Hannah Styles of Gardiners; after which, Martin Rye from GRS Footwear was presented with the Personality of the Year award. The last in the individuals’ category was Student Shoe Fitter of the Year who turned out to be Claire Mason from North Shoes.
The final award of the night was the award for the Best Use of Technology/ E-tailer of the Year awarded to DB Wider Fit Shoes.
