Hotter hit £75,000 fundraising target as they unveil the Marie Curie Tara Shoe for 2019
Hotter is thrilled to announce that they have reached their £75,000 fundraising target for Marie Curie as they prepare to launch the latest style of the charity collaboration. Following the hugely successful Daffodil Mabel in March 2018 and the Daffodil Pixie in September 2018, Hotter has created a limited edition Tara slip on shoe with the signature Marie Curie daffodil print, inspired by Marie Curie’s iconic emblem.
Hotter has raised £75,000 for Marie Curie
since the launch of the partnership, this incredible amount is enough to pay for 3,750 hours of Marie Curie nursing care, the entire Marie Curie UK nursing service for 13 hours or 416 full nine hour Marie Curie nursing shifts.
For every pair of Tara shoes sold, £20 will go
to Marie Curie helping to fund an hour of Marie Curie nursing care for someone living with a terminal illness. The shoe will be available to buy for £55 from all Hotter stores nationwide and from
Hotter.com from early February.
The Tara is one of Hotter’s best-selling styles, making the Daffodil version easy to wear and perfect for the spring. Made from lightweight, breathable canvas with a supportive, comfortable sole, Hotter’s everyday active shoe is the perfect way to donate, wear the daffodil and show support for Marie Curie.
Sara Prowse, Hotter CEO commented:
“We’re so proud to be partnered with Marie Curie for another year, a fantastic charity doing amazing work to support people living with a terminal illness. The Hotter team have been taking part in various fundraising events

including car washes, treks, skydives, raffles, weight loss challenges, with their dedication and passion we are proud to have hit our £75,000 target. Following the success of last year’s exclusive Marie Curie footwear, the Daffodil Mabel and Daffodil Pixie, we’re certain the new Daffodil Tara will raise even more money.”
Liz Lyle, Head of Philanthropy and
Partnerships at Marie Curie added, “We are absolutely delighted with Hotter’s fantastic new design, the Daffodil Tara. Since our partnership with Hotter started in January 2018, Hotter’s enthusiasm for raising vital funds has been superb and everyone at Marie Curie is very grateful.”
Throughout 2018, Hotter stores and staff
worked hard to raise as much money as possible for the charity by taking part in fundraising danceathons, cycle races and tea parties, they plan to continue through 2019 with more amazing fundraising efforts.
