Anglian Water extends AUMA Actuators’ Service Level Agreement to 2028

Euchner to showcase first FlexFunction device at PPMA 2022

Industrial safety engineering specialist Euchner will use its stand at this year’s PPMA exhibition to launch two new and exciting products – the Industry 4.0 Ready CTS safety switch and CKS2 coded key system – and showcase its extensive range of guard locking products available for common fieldbus connections. The all-new, one-fits-all CTS is Euchner’s first FlexFunction device and expands the company’s product range by sitting between the all-round CTP and specialist CTM safety switch solutions, by combining the best of both worlds in a single switch while offering maximum flexibility. A key innovation of the compact CTS – which is IO-Link compatible and Industry 4.0 ready – is the company’s new FlexFunction feature that, by using the transponder-coded actuator to determine a switch’s function, allows a single device to perform a wide variety of functions that would otherwise require several switch variants.

AUMA Actuators Limited (AUMA UK), a world leader in electric valve actuation technology, has successfully extended its Service Level Agreement (SLA) with Anglian Water until 2028. AUMA UK and Anglian Water worked in partnership to develop and deploy a new and unique process to service, maintain and replace a range of actuators throughout the Anglian Water region. This extended SLA continues to provide Anglian Water with access to AUMA’s unique ‘rapid response’ service to replace both AUMA and other manufacturers’ equipment, as

well as a ‘replacement in advance’ for critical actuators. Cliff Marriner, Head of Integrated Maintenance Engineering, Anglian Water Services, says: “Speed of response is essential to our operations. Given current global supply issues, AUMA’s ability to source and supply locally is a major benefit to us. They have been proactive in their approach which has helped us deliver our service to our customers. “

Increase efficiency by using our custom- made multi-port tube diverter (M-TDV)

The M-TDV transports pneumatically conveyed products in powder or pellet form to or from multiple destinations (diver- ging or converging). When using our multi-port tube diverter valve one can divert a single port up to 14 different destinations. No personnel are required to manually switch the lines because the routing is done by our pre-programmed compact control- ler with an onboard PLC. No manual labour is involved here, and errors belong to the past. The M-TDV design is simplicity itself and guarantees a high positional accuracy with a minimum of component parts. Available in sizes from 40 to 150 mm (1½” to 6”), with up to 14 ports on the larger models i.e., smaller pipe sizes. Because of the small design and the ability to be placed hori- zontally and vertically the M-TDV will fit in almost any situation.

Headquartered in Wrexham, Wales, ESI Technology Ltd designs and manufactures pressure transducers and transmitters, serving a multitude of industries including aerospace, defence, oil & gas, subsea, medical, automotive, marine, process and general industrial markets. All our pressure transmitters are manufactured in-house and by hand, ensuring the utmost quality and care goes into the build of every single unit in production.

Silicon-On-Sapphire (SOS) Sensor Technology

Incorporated throughout the ESI range, SOS combines Silicon and Sapphire to create a very durable and reliable sensor. Because the silicon is grown onto the surface of the sapphire it is incredibly stable and exhibits virtually no hysteresis. With outstanding insulating properties, the sapphire protects the strain gauge from electromagnetic pulse radiation, and allows the sensor to operate over a very wide temperature range without loss of performance.

Advantages of SOS

• Titanium pressure diaphragm is welded to titanium threaded pressure port; no o-ring seals • High overpressure endurance • High accuracy and repeatability

• High resistance to over-pressure and pressure transients • Excellent chemical and corrosion resistance • Stable at elevated temperatures • High sensitivity 10mV/V to 20mV/V • Pressures from -1 bar to 5000bar

• High pressure HP range is machined from single Titanium piece Digital Pressure Measurement

ESI has a growing range of digital pressure measurement solutions suitable for most applications industrial, test and high temperature environments;
