electromechanical and electronic applications. For electronic

applications, the DNCB range is suitable for PCBs up to 1.6mm thick, with slots which hold up to three PCBs horizontally or between two and four vertically.

A

new series of DIN Rail mounting enclosures has been

announced by Hylec-APL. The DNCB range features snap-on bases and terminal covers for quick, easy assembly and are suitable for

incorporating a screw-mounted heat sink. This range offers a choice of solid or vented open tops: solid tops can be either perforated or non-perforated; alternatively a

slotted option is available. A major benefit offered by this robust, high-quality enclosure range is ease of assembly – snap-on terminal covers and snap-on bases save time. The snap-on terminal covers have slots for pitches 5/7.5/10 and knockout holes for pitch 5/10. DNCB enclosures are manufactured from flame- retardant UL94-0 polycarbonate with a grey RAL 7035 body and a choice of either grey, transparent red or clear covers. They are available in three sizes: 36cm, 53.5cm and 71cm long, each 90cm wide by 100cm high. These enclosures can be customised to suit individual requirements. www.hylec-apl.com

NEW PLUG & PLAY FASTENER

The time-consuming business of assembling and positioning of components in IT racks is now a thing of the past. Components can be quickly and easily installed on, or removed from, the 482.6mm (19") mounting level of racks with Rittal’s new fastener. Following the “plug and play” principle, the

19" fastener is simply slid onto the rail from the inside and then locked. At the same time, the integrated contacting ensures the potential equalisation needed. The fastener has robust construction,

LOW AND DEEP PROFILE VERSION SNAP-FIT DIN-RAIL INSTRUMENT CASES CamdenBoss has extended its DIN-Rail enclosure range with a new family of

instrument boxes offering low profile and deep profile versions designed to help speed electrical and electronic products to market. The CDIB range is supplied in kit form for fast, snap-fit assembly with the low

profile size offering a slimline 35mm DIN-Rail mount enclosure for applications where space is at a premium. The deep profile case, meanwhile, provides more internal space for those applications with larger components and boards. All terminal guards and covers from the CamdenBoss DIN-Rail CNMB range

can be used with both CDIB versions and any existing base PCBs will fit both the CNMB and CDIB enclosures. Moulded in UL94-V0, the CDIB enclosures can be fully customised allowing

freedom to include cut-outs, vents or holes in any position and with a variety of colours available. Combined with the option of digital printing, customers can create a bespoke CDIB DIN-Rail mounting instrument enclosure to their exact specifications. Dimensions for the cases are 106.2 x 90 x 31.9mm high for the low profile version while the deeper case is 114.05mm high.

Complementing the new CDIB instrument enclosures is the company’s CVB-Plus, a vertical DIN-Rail mount

housing complete with 16 (four x 4-pole) 5mm pitch pluggable terminal blocks. Providing a convenient clip together design for fast assembly, the versatile features of this enclosures includes solid or vented side panels, front and side label recesses and two vertical PCB slots to ensure boards are held firmly in place. A development PCB is also available as an option. www.camdenboss.com
